Degenerative Disc Disease
Degenerative Disc Disease most often occurs in the discs in the lower back (lumbar region) and the neck (cervical region). As we age, spinal discs may break down, or degenerate, causing Degenerative Disc Disease. This can result from a loss of fluid in your discs which makes them thinner, narrowing the space between the vertebrae.
Small cracks in the outer shell of the disc can also cause the disc to bulge which may start the degeneration process. These changes are more likely to occur in cigarette smokers and people who engage in heavy physical work (such as heavy lifting). Those who are overweight are also more likely to suffer from degenerative disc disease.
Testimonials
Dr. Marc Davis treated me for a period of 3 months. He is by far the most thorough and informative Chiropractor that I have ever visited. His diagnostic work was detailed, comprehensive, and he explained and interpreted the results clearly. Based on this, he developed a clear plan to straighten my spine, improve its flexibility, and maintain these benefits beyond my treatment period. Dr. Davis also went above and beyond basic chiropractic care. He was also very pro-active in educating his patients and their friends about the benefits and effectiveness of not only chiropractic care, but other health-improving areas such as diet and exercise. Unfortunately, I moved out of the area before my treatment was complete. But I have great confidence that he would have achieved our goal of improving my health.

Spinal Decompression slowly relaxes and stretches the spine, removing the downward forces of gravity and creating a vacuum that allows oxygen and nutrients to flow back into the disks and begin the healing process. Patients simply lie down on the state of the art DRX9000 for 20 minutes per session. Some people read, relax or meditate — others have been known to fall asleep!
This FDA-cleared procedure is gentle and comfortable — with NO risks and NO side effects. We’ve performed it over 35,000 times in our office and have had tremendous success treating all types of disc damage.
